Should you buy insurance from a broker?
Using a local insurance broker can help you tremendously. A local broker knows the insurance carriers in your area and can help you find the best plan for you and your family.
The best part of using insurance brokers is that most services are free! Insurance carriers pay the brokers for connecting them with customers, so brokers don´t pass any costs along to you.

Some notes about Aetna health insurance underwriting.

Aetna Insurance medically underwrites its policies. An Aetna Advantage policy can issue the health insurance with standard rates, a 25% or 50% surcharge, or they can decline you. There are no exclusions for coverage in the policy for pre-existing conditions you indicate you have. An exclusion is a limitation where no benefits are paid for specified conditions you have. Aetna does not do this. Aetna will pay for stated preexisting conditions. So if you have allergies or high blood pressure, and your application is approved, you will have coverage for these conditions. There are some health insurance companies who will offer you a policy, but will exclude pre-existing conditions indefinitely.
